About The Beer
Back Forty Eclipse is a session IPA built around exploring the abundance of hops that brewers can use. At 4.3%, it delivers real hop flavour without the weight. Crisp, balanced, and built for long sessions.
The Story Behind The Name
“Back Forty” refers to open land — an endless stretch of space with room to explore. That’s the idea behind this series. The goal is simple: keep experimenting. Keep rotating. Keep exploring as many hop varieties from around the world as we can. Citra. Simcoe. Mosaic. Vic Secret. El Dorado. Triple Pearl. Centennial. Cascade. Amarillo. Nelson Sauvin. Eclipse. Cashmere. Saphir. Each release is a new expression. Eclipse marks the 13th iteration in the Back Forty Session Series, built around the bright citrus and mandarin character of Eclipse hops. The structure stays familiar — 4.3% ABV, balanced bitterness, sessionable body — but the hop spotlight shifts each time. Same backbone. Different horizon.

Back Forty Eclipse tends to win over people who want hop flavour without committing to a bigger IPA. It’s bright, smooth, and easy to settle into — the kind of beer that sticks around for more than one round.
Food Pairings
Eclipse pairs well with grilled chicken, fish tacos, and anything with a bit of spice. The citrus and mandarin notes brighten up bold flavours without overpowering them. It’s also right at home on the patio — refreshing, balanced, and built for conversation.
